Well today was the day... The day that kept me up all night worried... The day I would try something for the first time... Today was the day I would cook my first turkey... (seriously, I was so nervous about not being able to cook it, it kept me up)
I first began by sauteeing celery and onions for my stuffing, then prepared my turkey...

This was the 11lb Turkey ready for the oven....

Here was the complete spread...

And here is the turkey all done...

And here is my friend KEN handing a plate of food to a homeless man we met...

we gave out another 6 plates of food, but didn't get pictures of them...

over all.. this was a great day...

Today I was asked to go to the ARK. vs. LSU game friday. I'm really excited about this opportunity to not only work overtime but to show other people that I work with that I have the ability to do quality work. All i'm doing is running cable and other misc. things that others would consider busy work, but I'm excited. I find it really kindof funny that my director continues to ask me to do things like hang lights, and other things such as this, but i've only worked their for about 3 months and he already confides in me and trusts the quality of work I do... Why is it that people get so complacent with their jobs and think of it as a mandatory thing (which it is if they want to eat... haha) but I look at it as an opportunity to show others that I can be trusted and I can do it...

So my sister came up from conway to share thankgiving with me... We are going to 'try" and cook thanksgiving dinner together... We purchased all the things needed... here's what our grocery list looked like...

1. Turkey
2. Potatoes
3. Corn
4. Rolls
5. Yams
6. Cranberry Sauce
7. Stuffing
8. Gravy
9. Mt. Dew
10. Sugar Cookies...

We have all the necessities for an amazing Thanksgiving dinner... now we only have to cook it all... haha... We bought alot, so we can plate whatever's left and take it to some homeless people in downtown little rock... My first year away from home on thanksgiving i volunteered at a Food Pantry that was serving food for the "needy"... All I did for 4 hrs was wash dishes and it was absolutely one of the biggest blessings i've ever had... So, my sister and I are going to try and be a blessing to others...

On to the next....

So, I've decided to try this whole "blogging" thing again, in search of some understanding as to where i'm going and what i'm doing... I will number my post in order for my organizational mind... I will blog about my life, about relationships, dating, love, work, careers amongst other things that i've failed to list... I will try to blog at least once a week if not more...

The purpose of me doing this is, after alot of changes that have happened in my life from ending an 11 month relationship to resigning from a ministry to accepting a job in TV, I have a few questions and some unanswered questions in my mind and really just want to understand where I'm going, and what i'm doing, and most importantly Why God is doing this in my life. I will be real on this blog (for mysake)
